This is a large ( 16" high x 12" diameter ) kettle shaped gourd that was left uncut and seeds intact. Three large snakes start at
the bottom and then spiral around the gourd as it reaches the top where all three heads meet and join a small blue coral snake.
The
snakes are carved into the gourd using a Dremal and then details such as scales were added using pyro-engraving.
Many colors
of leather dye's were applied in layers to the snakes giving them a very dramatic appearance. The piece was then sealed with three
coats of clear acrylic sealer. This one of a kind gourd can be purchased for
