"Holding the Past Together"
The larger gourd on the left is the gourd that started Gourdgeous Arts. It is the first gourd that Barbara ever made.  It is also one of the gourds featured in "Beyond the Basics: Gourd Art "(Sterling Publishing) (Hardcover) by David Macfarlane.

Pyro-engraving defines the metallic gold, copper and brass lizards randomly holding onto each other and therefore holding the broken pottery chards together.  Clay and other earthy colors are used to paint the pottery chards and a black interior complete the embellishments.
The large gourd  is  14" tall and 12" in diameter.
The smaller gourd  is  8" tall and 8" in diameter.
A large gourd can be made to order with your choice of colors for  $250.00
The smaller gourd is $150.00 and can be made to order with your choice of colors .
