This very unique canteen gourd has the Chinese symbols for "Phoenix" pyro-engraved on the lid. "Bird on
a wing" are the loosely translated symbols represented on the body.
It is 5" tall and 8" in diameter. Two
ivory-like chopsticks are lashed to the top using black, waxed linen and finished with several beads including jasper and carved
bone with oriental symbols.
